Despite a cool, cloudy and somewhat wet Saturday a number of hardy souls made the most of our WBPOA’s 100th Summer Celebration on July 31st. Although the wind was only a whisper most of the time, many sailboats and crew waited patiently beachside for a change in conditions. Many family groupings and individuals were also on shore with hopes for the skies to clear.
A number of activities helped brighten the day including beach volleyball, kayaking, paddle boarding, walking and an amazing ending flyover along the beach. Check out our website page ‘2021 and Beyond’ to view our celebrants.
The July 10th morning Drop-In was very successful in both the beautiful weather and a great turn out. The stations included a table to sign our 100th banner, membership sign up, water testing materials and details/purchase of ‘Save Our Water’ signs. Information and a display for purchasing our 100th Tee Shirts and Hoodies was available as well as enjoying delicious Anniversary home baked cookies!
